In this aluminium coffeetable the pattern of an old Persian carpet is used. The pattern has been cut out of the tabletop so the pattern of the carpet remains visible as a shadow on the floor underneath the table. It was inspired by the phenomenon that when objects or frames have been hanging or laying in the same spot for a long time their contours become visible. (As you can often see in old empty houses. The location of the paintings is still visible, and live on as it were, as shadows.)
